It was the 25 year old Jackson Netto (picture above) from Germany who Saturday evening took home the crown of Mr. Gay Europe in the building of the Hungarian State Circus in Budapest, hosted by the fabulous Desiré Dubounet. 21 Delegates from The Canary Islands in the south to Lapland in the north were all in the battle for the crown.
Jens Taghon from Belgium finished with the 8 last finalists. United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany went on to a super final, where Germany took home the crown! The Delegates themselves chose Lev Dermota from Slovenia as Mr Congeniality or as the most sympathetic among the candidates themselves in a rose ceremony.
The winner of Mr. Gay Europe 2007 will be participating in the Mr Gay International Competition in Hollywood in January , but most importantly he will be a spokes person for the MGE organization and hopefully a role model for young gay men throughout Europe and most importantly a gay advocate in his native country.
